The social aid/ humanitarian response programs of IYEC Cameroon is a pillar that harbors the internally displace person, orphans, widows, vulnerable children and supports under privileged and minority individuals and groups to ensure that they are socially integrated and economically empowered through sustainable initiatives. In Cameroon, especially in the south west region under privileged and marginalized groups are socially integrated and economically empowered through :

HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE PROGRAM OF IYEC

With respect to the ongoing Anglophone crises IYEC work in partnership with UN agencies (UNOCHA, UNHCR, WFP, IOM, UNFPA, UNICEF, FAO), INGO (IRC, COHEP international), and local partners (LUKMEF, PEP Africa, ADA, BAWAC) for better coordination implementation of humanitarian response.

In humanitarian response IYEC work in the six division of south west especially in Fako, Manyu and Meme division were its currently having an ongoing health care project. IYEC also work in the North west region through her focal point and community partners.

 IYEC in action, distributing Food items, NFI’s, and providing medical assistance to internally displace persons in the Limbe ll municipality

IYEC 7 years experience in working with an ongoing performance base financing health careproject (PBF) to Monitor and evaluate hospital and health centre in Fako and Manyu division hadenable IYEC to have sustainable value added experience to implement data collection and assessment project with other humanitarian partner organizations and achieved value added result/ performance. IYEC Program Director (Tabemonso Tabeagbor) supervises the projects in the different division of the south west region, below are projects implemented by IYEC as a result of it sustainable outstanding performance and quality community work.

-In December 2018 IYEC implement DTM baseline assessment project for IDPs in the limbe and west coast municipality in partnership with International organization for migration (IOM) and LUKMEF

– In January 2019 IYEC implement rapid food assessment and Market survey project in Manyu and Meme division in partnership with World food program (WFP) and PEP Africa

-In March 2019 IYEC implement a project in partnership with UNHCR in Limbe on Participatory Assessments of internally displace person (IDPs) through a focus group discussion to know their means of means of subsistence and economic inclusion, Education, Health, Community mobilization, protection (document/legal assistance) and SGBV.

-In March 2019 IYEC implement a project on joint multi sectoral need assessment on house hold, protection and health facilities, this in partnership with Relief international and LUKMEF in the Limbe and west coast municipality.

In the month of January 2019 IYEC carry out a program to identify IDPs in Limbe I,II,III and Idenau municipality in the west coast sub-division. After identification Integrated Youth Empowerment Centre (IYEC) and Blessing associate for women and children (BAWAC) engage in a fundraising project to provide assistance to IDPs.

After 3 weeks of fundraising IYEC and BAWAC had funding and carry out an integrated distribution program on the 15/02/2019 to 9 families made up of 47 people in Isokolo Limbe. The items distributed are food items, NFI, medical service to women, youth children and elderly.

The distribution will be a continuous process as long as we receive funding and humanitarian assistance.School donations.

As part of its nation building process, IYEC Cameroon is involved in empowering schools in Cameroon, especially in the south west region by source funding and donating  to some schools didactic materials and infrastructural facilities in areas of  primary, secondary, vocational and university which are  both private and government institutions.
