Youth Training
Women and youths are one of IYEC Cameroon’s principal target groups within the frame work of its capacity building activities. We have realized that the educational system of Cameroon is not oriented toward technical and professional education but on general education which does not move in line with vision 2035 which Cameroon is hoping to become an emerging nation. So far IYEC Cameroon is engaged in organizing workshops, seminars and conferences aimed at equipping the women and youths with survival skills such as business management, logistics management, project management, agriculture , livestock , civic education, gender issues, monitoring and evaluation, entrepreneurship, family life, decision making and income generation etc.
We also facilitate the establishment of micro project within communities. Presently the project coordinator of IYEC has entered into a partnership with the director of Limbe Business College to train about 200 youths each year in the field of logistic, supply chain and transportation management because this is a field that is not studied in any of the state universities of Cameroon.
So, this gesture is going to improve on the future of this women and youths while preparing them for sustainable management of their resources.
